I just checked out the trailer for Sinbad the Fifth Voyage, looked amazing!! Love the stop animated creatures, very stylish, love that 6 arm statue!! I'm so sick of seeing the same old CGI on most Hollywood films, they all seem to have the same look...but this film seems deferent.
ReplyDeleteDid some research on the production, wow very stylish, the world has been waiting for a throw back retro fantasy film, especially one from the classic Arabian Nights's ... Sinbad the Fifth Voyage!! :))
I can not wait to see this gem in theaters. looking forward to the release date! Will it be in 3D...? Either way looks pretty awesome!

I have to say these guys captured the essence of a classic cult film... Very cool guys. Saw this at Irvine spectrum:) loved it. Although the lady next to me was talking her head off, I still really got a chance to enjoy the film. Also it's the first time I have seen a proper cast, especially the Sinbad character who very much looks and acts like a sinbad. It's refreshing to see that. I highly recommend seeing this to get an insight in stop motion style filmmaking. The cyclops and crab scene was excellent! And so were the rest. I remember as a kid enjoying the older sinbad movies, and really got into fantasy movies from that point on. It's been a really long time coming to see a new Sinbad, created in this style of film making. Have been waiting for this for a while. Also, really loved the script and story line. All in all, a solid movie!
ReplyDeleteGiant Flick Films brings an adrenaline-filled, super- animotion, Ray Harryhausen- inspired movie to the big screen. I had an opportunity to view this film during its theatrical release last week. The special effects in Sinbad the Fifth Voyage (2014) were top notch! I really enjoyed this film for its faithful adaptation of the original material from the classic Sinbad movies of the 50's and 60's. Mesmerizing special effects and visual artistry make this movie an absolute stunner. It's a dreamlike journey through the mysterious lands from the great tales of the "1001 Arabian Nights". On another note, my family and I really enjoyed the costume and set design, it took us back to authentic ancient times instantly.
