The only reason I gave this film 2 stars instead 1 is that main actress tried very hard, bless her. Poor thing was trying to make something out of this film which was, mildly put just horrible.
ReplyDeletePlot, was there one? What was happening to her, they never explained. Plot is not existent.
Acting is poor, except notable exception of the main actress.
All together very poor film, if I were you I would avoid it.
I really do not know what else to add about this film, since it was not worth the time.

I saw the trailer for this and wound up paying $6.99 for it On Demand. I think the whole idea behind the movie sounded great, the steady build up to the infection was great, but there was just so much that was ignored and not even wrapped up at the end.
ReplyDelete1. They never even find the guy who infected her in the first place. There was the whole police investigation and an attempt to find him but we are never told why, who he is, what the government may know about him, nothing.
2. We never find out what it is she's infected with. The whole doctor scene in the beginning was completely unbelievable. Go into any doctor with massive bleeding, a clear infection and weird looking veins and they don't tell you that you have a "head cold" and to go home, after blatantly telling the patient to "not come in contact with anyone." 3. She's completely decaying on the outside and the guy still has sex with her?? And makes out with her??? Then his character is completely gone and we don't find out what happens to him? Obviously he's now infected too, unless I missed something.
There are loose holes, and an unwrapped up plot at the end. I was very disappointed when the credits started rolling, more questions than answers. Just seemed like they wanted the movie to end without putting any further work into it.

ReplyDeleteI've watched horror ever since I can remember, love it, all types, slashers, zombies, ghosts and so on. I graded this one with a 6, maybe a little more than I should, but it definitely has to be over 5, and I'll give you the reasons: 1) the plot was pretty OK, more complex than you see at others 2) characters were divert, one of that, one of this, pretty much natural people 3) dialogue: seems dumb sometimes, might be OK if you consider the nature of the situation each time 4) the ending: did not see that one coming, I for one thought it was heading to a different conclusion.
I actually was drawn into it, I will not criticize the fact that it didn't rely on gore, blood or nudity, always loved diversity. So, to this strange little movie, that shows how a girl can change over the days, I say: bravo! It was not great, but it does move you slowly to the edge of the seat.
Contracted: worth a shot!
